Mama's Restaurant - Terengganu

I’ve been here twice, once for dinner and the morning after for breakfast. About the dinner I have to say the seafood menu was quite impressive. One of the standout features was the option to personally choose your fish from the basket near the grill, which added a nice touch to the dining experience. The grilled fish was cooked well and tasted fresh. However, the main downside was the considerable wait time for our food to arrive at the table, which was somewhat disappointing. It's worth noting that the food is made fresh to order, so a wait is to be expected. The breakfast was nice too and it was the best I had in the island (I tried 3 different places). I’d suggest the fried egg and the crepes, both nice. The place inside is accommodating, while outside it’s a bit noisy and not so comfortable.

Visited in April 2025: We started our day with a delightful breakfast at Mama's restaurant. Their menu offered a tempting array of both sweet and savory dishes, featuring local specialties alongside international favorites. For our drinks, we chose to experience the local flavors with a robust local coffee, a refreshing mango juice , and a creamy Teh Tarik .To satisfy our savory cravings, we ordered the classic Roti Canai. For a touch of sweetness, we indulged in a fluffy banana pancake . Every dish tasted wonderfully fresh and was ample for the two of us to share, providing a perfect start to our day. Edit: Next day, we tried waffles and mixed fruits, again a delight to get the day started. And we ordered a delicious mango, too

This is the place to be: a family-owned restaurant full of care, good vibes and yummie food. We ate there 2 or 3 times a day for almost a week. And every meal was delicious. Absolutely recommend it!

Nice place to chill. Food & price is okay based on location, not the best, but OK. Seafood pizza is recommended, RM30, and it is huge. Love the coconut, RM10. It's probably the most affordable place around.
